Did you know that Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site is open all year round?  There are numerous trails through this beautiful historic park that have their own magnificence in the winter.  When the snow hits the ground, it is a great place to snowshoe or cross country ski.  If you get a little chilly, light a fire in the one of the shelters (Mill Falls, Merrymakedge) with the wood provided by thoughtful Parks staff.  Organize a hiking party and use the shelter to warm up a pot of chili or a bucket of hot chocolate too!  Pleae note, while the park itself is open all through the holidays, the Visitor Centre will close on December 24th and will reopen on the 28th.  To get to Keji (what locals call the park), take Highway 8 from Liverpool - the drive will take about 55 minutes or so, depending on weather and how anxious you are to get there!  You can stock up on snacks for your day out while in Liverpool or closer to Keji in Caledonia.
